Fair Equality of Opportunity

A modified version of Formal Equality of Opportunity that takes into account willingness of people to want opportunities. Created by John Rawls

Fairness of events are given to:

• Those that it applies to (Are able to take advantage of it. Wealthy course $⟹$ Sample Space is rich people)
• Those that have Merit

Formal Definition

$F(\cdot |c,e)=F(\cdot |c^{\prime },e)$ is the cumulative distribution of utility at fixed effort $e$ and circumstance $c$. Where:

• $e$ is the effort one puts into life
• $c$ is the circumstances beyond ones control In other words, cumulative utility depends only on $e$
