An adoption of NFC to be used for authentication. Requires Antennas to read radio waves from RFID tags. RFID commonly uses 13.56 MHz short-band frequency Seen commonly in:

• Smart Card
• Pet/Animal Identification
• Inventory tracking Certain tags may include methods to power this antenna, other tags may be standalone transponders.
