Java Datatypes

These are the default data types in Java.

Primitive

Datatype	Use-case
byte	1 byte signed ($-2^7$ to $2^7$)
short	2 bytes signed ($-2^{15}$ to $2^{15}$)
int	4 bytes signed ($-2^{31}$ to $2^{31}$)
long	8 bytes. ($-2^{63}$ to $2^{63}$) requires you to postappend ‘l’ after number
float	4 bytes
double	8 bytes
boolean	one bit
char null	2 bytes
